Fund Raising
Along with raising money for charitable organizations, TKE also enjoys raising money for itself.
Our largest fundraiser is the annual Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament which raises money for the TKE Memorial Scholarship fund. Every spring the Nu-Xi Chapter and its alumni get together to put on a golf tournament from which all proceeds go toward a Student Scholarship Fund. We have almost met the goal to be able to endow the scholarship and Tekes will soon be able to apply for the scholarship and be able to recieve aid for tuition and books.
The second main focus of our fundraising goes toward house improvements. Recently completed projects include a sand volleyball court at the TKE house and a 650 sq foot expansion onto our existing deck, both of which were made possible because of our fundraising. Other house improvements that we are currently fundrasing for include new furniture, new flooring, and updates to the kitchen.
Our largest fundraising is made possible through Alumni donations. Other fundrasiers include a car wash at our local Laser Car Wash. Another fundraiser we participated in was selling Arbonne products. We have done raffles before also.
Each year we try to improve on our fundraising from the year before. And since ALL of the funds earned through donations and fundraising go towards improving the Chapter House, you can feel confident it is being spent wisely.
